Hi Rick,
I respectfully disagree with you. First of all,
we serve a loving God, and everything we have--children, pets, money are HIS first, and
are
on loan to us and He has made it known throughout
the scriptures that He is a loving
Father.
I believe in Him, and I believe in what He says.
Because of the age of the youth who crossed over into the Promised Land, I
believe this tells
us HIS idea of the age of accountability, i.e.
twenty years old. My twins are now twenty, so I speak as a concerned mother.
But, I have always
known that no matter how much I love them, HE
loves them more. I dedicated them back to Him when they were babies, and so He
has the
responsibility for them. I firmly believe that all
the children orphaned or not in the world belong to Him, despite their parents
belief or rebellion, are
His. I do not know the mind of God, but I know Him
to be a loving God, and He would not put innocent children through a fire of
testing, when
they don't even have the maturity to judge right
from wrong, because of age or parentage. I also believe that aborted babies are
with Him,
and the animals He blessed us with will also be in
Heaven with Him. My boys are now 20, but they believe in Jesus and His sacrifice
for them.
perfection, but because of His, and His promises
to the faithful. I came unglued--and the fertilizer certainly hit the ventalator
when my one son
got a tatoo at 19 years old. I was a banshee!!! I
don't scream often, but then I did! I tried to explain that as long as they
were under 20, that
I felt that I carried the burden for them, and
drew a circle of protection around me in the air to make my point. (the tatoo
was praying hands!)
He had consulted a youth pastor, who told him it
was OK, and he even had some. That youth pastor got an immediate phone call
from ME!
I had not only prayed for them, but lived the
closest thing I could to a sinless life, and felt (right or wrong) at their
unaccountable age, they
were under my wings so to speak. None of us knows
the mind of God explicitedly, but the Jesus we do know is a loving and fair
judge. I just
cannot imagine Him suffering little children to go
through the same things as unbelieving adults of full age. If an unbelieving
husband can be
sanctified by a believing wife, and vise versa,
then why not the innocent children?

10:14 But when Jesus saw [it], he was much displeased, and said
unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto
me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of
God.

all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the

twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to
war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were

us to peace.
