Perhaps this might be of comfort to those who wonder about their pets and heaven....I am one of those who hears from God mostly in dreams. I am not very good at interpreting them so I always email every dream of significance that I get to a friend of mine who has a gift of dream interpretation. Last year I had a dream that was quite long but at the end of the dream I found myself on a large luxury cruise ship. I, and many people on the ship were looking over the railing as we passed by an island below us. The island was beautiful - it had all sorts of unique animals, giraffe's,elepants, etc...that were decked out with jewels, there were palm trees and beaches and I can remember thinking to myself in the dream that it looked like a paradise.Suddenly I saw a dog, who "looked like a collie, but wasn't" leap off the side of the ship aiming to land on the island below. The dog looked like like he was really enjoying his leap thru the air! His feet were braced to land and his ears were flying back. If you can imagine he had a sort of big, toothy grin on his face as he soared down. All the people on the ship were watching his journey thru the air down to the island, while all the people on the island were looking up watching this dog "who looked like a collie but wasn't" come down and land on the island. When he landed everyone on the island broke out in cheers and clapping!Needless to say I was quite mystified with this dream and immediately sent it off to my friend. My friend responded with something that I was not aware of: her beloved sheltie dog had died of old age that week and she had been heartbroken. God knew that I sent every dream I received to my friend and that I would send this one to her as well. So he sent a message to her to comfort her in her grief and reassure her that her dog was ok. This was a very specific message from God to her - that her beloved sheltie was in a better place, in a place that looked like paradise, full of people who welcomed him there. For those of you who do not know what a sheltie is - it is a dog who looks like a miniature version of a collie. Isn't God so good? I hope that this message is able to comfort those of you who are grieving over lost pets. Our God is a good and gracious God - He loves all of His creation.
