I just want to say a big thank you and a great big hug to all those praying for me. I am an intercessor myself and have been praying for many of you that have requested over the years. For those who don't pray as much doesn't mean we are "stronger" or "better" Christians, only we are all part of one body........and we all have different giftings, and callings, such as some have the gift of teaching or preaching, or maybe the gifts of help,or like Bob Ware and John Tng, with their mathematical genius!! or to be an exhorter like Samson or a nurturer like Peggy, or prophetic insights from Pastor Riley with all his wonderful teachings,, and like Hebrews ch. 11, there are just too many to mention all...........but we are all one body jointly fit together.
I was pondering all the problems the saints seem to be going through lately, and come to the conclusion, that somehow God is doing a work in all of us, separately, and collectively to maybe bring us back to the "prayer closet", and also for the backsliden to return back to Him in times of distress. (Jeremiah 33:3), call on me and I will answer you, and will show you great and mighty things.
Also, these things we are goin through are tests and trials, but remember Jesus said never fear for I have overcome the world!!!!
You know before Noah got that 7 day warning I wonder if he was starting to lose hope,or was becoming a little discouraged, after all, 120 years is a looooooong time!!!
And you know the scoffers were having a field day with him, especially since it never even rained before!!!
His departure must have been bittersweet. Bitter, for the lost, but sweet that all the sin and corruption would not be around to adulterate his descendants!!
It grieves my spirit to see what kind of world my grandchildren would be subjected to....and I'm sure Noah felt the same!!
Cheryl, I am praying for your daughter Rachel, I know the LORD can do anything!!!! when my son was in ICU God spoke these words in my spirit, "behold I am the LORD the God of all flesh, is there anything too difficult for me?" (Jer. 32:27). I hope she will choose to forgive the one who caused this, and you also, I know it is hard, but Jesus is our example, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do!!!
And for Douglas Martin, I have a scripture for you....it is from Psalms 37:(25 & 26) I have been young and now am old yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.26) He is ever merciful, and lendeth and his seed is blessed!!! Amen!!
Looking forward to meeting you all really soon!!!
Love to all, Karen
