"My mistake on world population"

Dear friends:

My May 6 message about the world population reaching 6,666,666,666 on that day was in error.  I don't know what happened, whether there was a temporary error on the government page or whether it was transcribed incorrectly.  Sorry 'bout that.

A recheck this morning confirmed my original calculation on April 19.  At the current rate of increase, it shows 6,666,666,666 will be hit late on May 9, 2008 U.S. ET time, which will be May 10 in Israel.

As previously mentioned, May 10, 2008 will fall on 5 Iyyar on the Hebrew calendar -- or exactly 60 years to the day after Israel came into being on 5 Iyyar 1948.  It will be Israel's 60th anniversary day.  It is one of the most important dates in all human history -- the very date Israel was reborn according to many ancient prophecies, starting God's end-time clock ticking.  Now we learn that on Israel's 60th (note the 6) anniversary is the very day the world population will probably be  6,666,666,666.  Amazing.

Someone asked whether or not the huge death toll from the cyclone in Myanmar will effect this.  Not much.  At the given rate of increase, even 100,000 dead will only slow the clock by about 11 hours.
