"Our Living Bread From Heaven: He Who Is Eternally Unleavened"
Dear John and all doves,
I am reviewing some of the
articles linked by Pineman in his posting of 3-1-2008. In checking events
associated with Iyar 14 this year which they state is 5-19-2008 is something
very interesting. This would be the Second Passover. The information concerns
matzah depleted (1313 BCE). "The supply of matzah (unleavened bread) which the
Jewish people brought out of Egypt-enough for 60 meals-was exhausted on the 14th
of Iyar, the 30th day after the Exodus. The people complained to Moses that they
have nothing to eat. G-d notified them that He will rain down "bread from
heaven" to sustain them (Exodus 16; see "Today in Jewish History" for tomorrow,
Iyar 15). We know that the manna was given soon for them to eat. Manna can be
tranlated as what is it? It was unusual and supernatural. Yet, we can clearly
see the promise of the greater bread from heaven. We see the promise of our
Master, the Messiah, for the seed of Isaac and for everyone. Iyar 14 is like The
Living Bread From Heaven Day! Will this be significant on Iyar 14 this month? As
Kelly Herman noted this week, one may have leaven in one's possession or home on
Iyar 14. One is to eat unleavened bread. Her remark about why the bride could
not rise at the time of the first Passover was very informative. According to
several of the articles, which Pineman did a great help in linking, Iyar 14 is
a one day event without a Second Unleavened Bread of another 7 days. That was
the belief of the late Menachem M. Schneerson, an Orthodox Jew. Other writers of
the articles agree with this. They regard it as The Second Passover rather than
the Second Passover/Unleavened Bread.
May we be watching each day now
for the Beloved Groom, Our Living Bread from Heaven, He Who Is Eternally
Unleavened.
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
