Did the Mayan or is it the Sumer Prophecy realy say, that our world will go under in 2012 ?

I know just a litle of this prophecies, but I have always heard that the year 2012, - will end our civillisation, as we know it today (in a way its not far from talk, like when Jesus take over)

I know that Nostredamus and other gentile wise-men have given prophecies, and what about the talk about planet X or Nebiru who shall came every 3.600 year and make a change on the planets in the solar system, and most of all on earth.

Is it things we should take serious ? - today we believe in and listen to the jewish historican Josephus - but he did not believe in Jesus, just mention him etc.

So who will give response on the questions, now when Rene have pointed it out ? - ybic, Jan Mikael.

I was wondering this too!  If the rapture happens in 2008, then the MID-point of the trib will be 2011-2012 and many people are pedicting the end of the world 2012, as stated by the Mayan calendar. Could what they are seeing actually be the MID-point of the tribulation when the AC goes into the temple, declares that he is God and breaks his covenant with Israel? Of course, we know, as Christians that the world won't end in 2012. However, it will be like the end of the world during the 2nd half of the great trib, it will be so horrible.
