"separation anxiety, dog at the door parable"

Kurt's story is so good it could be a parable and it kind of is. Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman the same way. Can you see your dog staring at you for just one crumb.

We have the same kind of dog, we rescued it from a dog pound, an Alaskan Eskimo. If I can see the dog I know my wife is near by, she rescued him. If I try to take it for a walk forget about it, he won't budge. Only once did he not stick to my wife's side, that was when I was extremely ill for a week and slept in another room. Krystal stayed at my feet during that time.

Separation anxiety is a term used for pets that are upset when the owner is gone, depression, anxiety, getting into trouble etc. are some of the symptoms. I think we might claim some of them too.

I love to see Krystal staring at us when we pull in the driveway, then lift up his head and bark, then stare at us.  I nudge the car forward to watch him do it again a few times till my wife tells me to knock it off.

If we could only be as faithful and trusting.

Here is a picture of this type of dog. It is quite beautiful.
