My first encounter with Angels or Angel experience was in 1967. I was 14 yrs. of age when my 90 year old grandmother passed. I was given this news by mail and did not attend her funeral. I mourned her passing so much! One night as I was lying in bed I woke up in the middle of the night, opened my eyes, looked up towards the ceiling and to my amazement I saw Two Angles! There was a Bright light surrounding them and they were (I guess you could say) floating on the ceiling! I got scared not knowing if I was dreaming, so I closed my eyes to fall back to sleep but when I opened my eyes again I saw my grandmother kneeling at my bedside praying! I gasped! looked up towards the ceiling and the Angels were still there! I looked at my grandmother again and I began to cry. I was in disbelief not understanding what I was seeing or hearing!!! After this vision or encounter, I jumped up out of bed and was quite shaken. The next day, I went to talk to a Catholic Priest to ask him if he knew why I had seen the two angels and my grandmother!  I thought maybe he would have the answer from the bible! He insisted that I was dreaming and what I saw was all a dream!!! I insisted that it “was not” a dream and I became quite upset that he did not believe me or even open his bible to read something to me about “angels”.

Many years passed, but I never forgot that I had seen the two angels and my grandmother! However the question was still on my mind as to why I saw them or if there was anything in the bible about this. One day in 1984 I was at a “Word of Faith” church service where the 85 yr.old guest speaker was ministering about Angels! Wow! that caught my attention! Everything he was talking about seemed to give me the answers to the questions (which I had been living with for so many years) Somehow, I always knew the answer for me was in the word. Mathew 28 also gave me my answer. You see, Mary Magdalene; saw the Angel of the Lord, before seeing the resurrected Christ!  This is only one example of what the word says about Angels. I don’t know much, but I do know that what I saw that night in 1967 was not a dream! I really did see Two angels and my grandmother.

 

Thank you Joe A. Burkey for you post on Angels! This is one subject that is very close to my heart.  One wonderful web site too! The angelic singing is beautiful and brought back a very special memory to me.
