Why are the wheat & barley prices in Revelation 6::6 so high during the tribulation that a measure of wheat and 3 measures of barley cost a penny which was the equivalent of a man's daily wage in Jesus' time according to Matthew 20:2, 9, 10 &13?If our Bread of Life, Jesus' death and resurrection is represented by the sheaf of barley that is waved up in the air at the Feast of Firstfruits on the morrow after the sabbath and if the resurrection/rapture of dead and living true believers who were saved from their sins by him are represented by the the two loaves of leavened wheat bread that are waved up in the air at the Feast of Weeks or Pentecost, is the sky high prices of wheat and barley during the tribulation due to the high price that Jesus (the waved barley sheaf) paid through His death and the shedding His blood on the cross for the resurrected/raptured true believers (the waved two leavened wheat loafs) in order to redeem them back to God and that they might receive eternal life through Him and for forgiveness of their sins? Of course, there is no monetary price that can be placed on Jesus' life and what He did for us, but I wonder if the high price that the Bread of Life (the waved barley sheaf) did pay by the giving of His life for saved believers (two loaves of leavened, new wheat bread) has anything to do with the high prices of the wheat and barley during the tribulation? Or do the high prices of wheat and barley during the tribulation rather have something to do with the spiritual harvest during the tribulation and the high price the tribulation martyrs will pay with their own lives by dying for Christ and not worshipping nor taking the mark of the beast? Jesus, our Bread of Life, (the waved barley sheaf) paid the same high price with His life for them (the rest of the wheat harvest) as He did for the resurrected/raptured true believers (the waved loaves of leavened wheat bread that were made from the firstfruits of the new wheat harvest and waved up in the air at Pentecost) who may be taken to heaven before the tribulation martyrs if there is a resurrection/rapture before the great tribulation period.Exodus 34:22, "And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end."Isaiah 52:5-6, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."Titus 2:13-14, "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."
