"TO: Eric Casagrande:  Prophecy News & Eclipse Information"

Eric,

In reply to your 4/30 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/apr2008/ericc430.htm I took the time to listen to the audio of Interview with Mark Biltz on  Solar and Lunar Eclipses in 2014/15  (Pt. 1) and I found the answer to my question which is a total solar eclipse takes place on  the Eve of Nisan 1 in 2015 (March 20) which begins at sunset which is the 1st day of the Jewish religious year, and it is also a  new moon feast day (Psalm 81:3).  I had forgotten that the 1st of every Jewish month is a new moon feast day.  Also a partial solar eclipse takes place on the Eve of the Feast of Trumpets at sunset on 9/13/2015 which begins the 1st day of the 7th month called Tishri 1, and it also begins the Jewish civil year.

In regards to blood red moons occuring during total lunar eclipses, it is my understanding from reading about lunar eclipses and looking at the diagram at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_eclipse that a blood red moon occurs during a total (umbral) lunar eclipse, and that when a partial (penumbral) lunar eclipse takes place that "The penumbra does not cause any noticeable darkening of the Moon's surface, though some may argue it turns a little yellow." So it looks like blood red moons occur during total lunar eclipses but not during partial lunar eclipses.

I also went to http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/JLEX/JLEX-AS.html  I then entered the city of Jerusalem, Israel in section 1.  I left section 2 on "All Eclipses."  Then in section 3, I clicked on the centuries 2001-2100 where I found that a total lunar eclipse (blood red moon) should be visible in Jerusalem, Israel on Sept. 28, 2015, Tishri 15 on the Feast of the Tabernacles.
