"Birds acting weird!"

Doves:  I have to add my 2 cents worth to the few messages about animals behaving weird.  Last week while on a lunch break with a friend, we had a few minutes before we had to go back to work so we decided to sit in the lounge area of our floor, which is the 5th floor of our building.  There are a number of sofa's and chairs and tables scattered about in groups and two walls of nothing but windows. It's a lovely place to sit and relax as it overlooks the Missouri River and it's very picturesque. Anyway, as we were talking a huge, black crow landed on the ledge right outside the window directly across from us and it kept cawing and pecking at the window.  I told my friend that while it was a strange sight to see, the crow most likely saw it's reflection and would eventually leave, which it did after a few moments.  A minute or so later I looked out the window and across the street there is another 6 story building and  I notice this same bird flying up and down (vertically, not horizontally) the building, it looked like it was trying to get into the building.  The windows of that building where it was flying are on the 4th, 5th and 6th floor.  It flew vertically (I've never seen a bird do this before), up and down the three stories for a few seconds and then it would fly to the other end of the building and do the same thing, fly vertically, up and down those 3 floors acting like it wanted inside.  It kept flying back and forth and would go to the same windows at both ends of the building as we watched it must have repeated this at least 6 or 8 times and it appeared to be getting very agitated.  Finally it flew away.  My friend and I just stood at our window with our mouths hanging open in amazement at what we had seen.  I believe the animal kingdom is fully aware of something and I don't think it's going to be a good something. From what I witnessed and what others have posted I get the impression that the animals are wanting to come in for shelter, safety, protection perhaps.  Time will tell and I don't think we have long to wait!
