This is our first dog ever so I cannot speak with any authority. That said, we have had him for 1 1/2 years and he does not smell at all. We groom a few times a month and my Son actually commented that he is one of the cleanest smelling dogs around. So, from our experience, we have no problem with odor. Also, I know of several other owners whom we have met on walks and none of them have a odor that we noticed.
