I Believe I Was Wrong about 1st Nisan and Let’s Look at Ascension Day

My earlier letters on the spring 2008 heavenly cycles (gears) lining up in a very unusual alignment must be corrected.

I used the published calendar dates for the 1st of Nisan and determined that Feast of First Fruits and the Seventh Day of Unleavened Bread were both on Sunday for 2008, which doesn’t happen all that often.

It has taken me lots of time and lots of studying to conclude that those published dates can be misleading.  It made me get a little over excited, although as I noted in that post, there is still a very unique (tens of thousands) alignment that I know is a sign.  I did keep open to both calendars being presented at the time, and I am thankful I did.

I have concluded that  Nisan 1 according to Scripture did begin on Monday evening April 7th Jerusalem time.  This was the time presented by several Doves based on the new crescent moon sightings around Jerusalem.  My confirming reference for this is from timeanddate.com.  Moonrise and moonset data for Jerusalem shows the New Phase at 6:55AM.  This clearly implies that for Sunday (starting Sat eve Apr 5th ending Sun eve Apr 6th) no crescent could possibly have been sighted because this was nearly exactly in the middle of the “Sunday” (only 12 hrs from “new phase”).  This naturally requires going to the evening of April 7th which would have been 36 hours after the New Phase.  This would definitely be a sighting, which it was.

Feast of First Fruits was still on Sunday April 27, but this put Nisan 21 (Seventh Day of Unleavened Bread) starting Sunday evening April 27th going to Monday evening April 28th.  I see now that Bob Schlenker and others had it right.

Now, Doves, the main reason I shared the previous is to alert us to the future possibility of putting too much emphasis on published dates of future feasts.  This includes projections of solar and lunar eclipses on those dates.  Do not get me wrong, I do believe we can glean powerful information about future seasons and signs of the season we are in.  I haven’t been posting very long, and others have probably made the same conclusion I have.  Thanks for being patient with this student of watching.

I have also concluded as others such as Cindy Busch, that karaite counting (40 days after a Sunday First Fruits) puts Ascension Day on June 5th.  The Eastern Orthodox Church also counts in this manner.  Since Christ ascended at the end of the 40th day (Thursday evening), it is a reasonable time to watch; it is on the 41st anniversary of the Six Day War and therefore adds much focus to this date.  As I said in my previous letter, I believe He is making the delay clear.

Steve Berryman has not weighed in on this forum for sometime and for some unknown reason, but using his thought process posted on March 8, 2008, I believe as he might (?) that seven days prior to the Rapture there may be an opening of the graves as a “midnight cry”.  That would mean a possible opening of the graves during the evening of Wednesday May 28th to sunset on Thursday May 29th.  I like this very much, because it allows the traditional 7 days for the Jewish Bride to get ready.  I also really like Ascension Day, because Rebekah’s brother and mother wanted her to abide home for 10 more days.  Rebekah chose to go right away….not 10 more days to Pentecost!  I really like eventide for Ascension day because it was the time of day for Elijah, and Christ…it also was eventide when Rebekah saw the camels coming to her and it was eventide when Isacc  saw Rebekah coming to him.  Rebekah, in her excitement of finding out that the man meditating in the field was her Master…veiled her face and jumped off her camel.  I love excitement I can identify with.

Pentecost on June 14-15th is also a day to watch, but I am hoping that we don’t have to wait those extra 10 days.  I also am hoping the graves open up 7 days ahead of time.  Then everyone watching WOULD know the day and the hour just as so many of us have believed.  Ok, I can be wrong for those of you that think this is lame, but I can still smile about it and hope.  Right now, I am on a “high ride”, I am on a camel traveling to my Master…this is all new territory and I know it is any day now.

I know to some it may sound lame and weak, but I really do believe that Nisan 21 was an appointed Feast for the Bride.  Our precious Lord has a better time, and it fulfills Scripture of an appointed delay.  (see my previous letter)

My heart beats hoping that this letter will open the eyes of the heart of the Church.  We have so much to do.  Prayer and laboring in the fields is our assignment.   It is abundantly clear that Isacc was meditating in the fields when Rebekah arrived.  We should be following the example of our Master.
