"FM Riley's post on the Rapture ... I believe that he has made a very convincing argument for a Pentecost Rapture. The day after I read his article, however, I came across another article that I feel makes an even better argument for the Rapture happening 10 days earlier than Pentecost.......on the very day Jesus ascended to Heaven, taking with Him those firstfruits who rose from the grave the same day He did. ... And of course, both cannot be correct."Pentecost is the 50th day, i.e. Firstfruits + 49 days. So from the ascension to Pentecost was 9 days elapsed.Ah but it is possible for both dates to be correct. The scripture says that the dead in Christ are raised first and then that we who are left alive will be changed. So there must be some interval of time between the two events. The dead in Christ He brings with Him, so they must necessarily be raised when He comes - the same day as He ascended. Then we who are still alive are changed and we are all caught up together on the day of Pentecost. As for which day is Pentecost, myself I believe the correct date is not the modern Jewish calendar, nor the Roman Catholic calendar, but the solar anniversary.Adrian
