"More about children in the rapture..."

Children in the rapture……

Lots of pondering heart-stirring questions are being posed here.   Those who are dead set

against young children being raptured, I have to wonder:   do you have something AGAINST children?   ;)   Do you deem to “pick a side” of whether they will or won’t be raptured & then

seek out Scripture to support such a claim?

I’m not saying anyone’s doing this, but just merely pointing out that Scripture can be twisted to

say about anything people would have it say.  2 Peter 3:16

Listen, I was thinking about this even in the wee hours of the morning.  And the intention of

the Lord in the “natural law” is for parents & child/ren to be TOGETHER.   Think about it:

when born, the Lord does not rip your child away from you & send him/her to another person

to bring up?!!   Only the law can intervene & do that in certain cases ~ or, it’s done in the case

of “cults” like the recent tragedy in Texas.

Indeed Scripture does say: Matt 19: 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or

sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall

receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

But c’mon folks!!  We have to use some good ol’ common sense here, too!!

By this Scripture, does the Lord expect you to just walk away from your house & leave

your 4 -year old son/daughter behind??

Well??!!

Of course not!!

You’d be charged with child-neglect & rightly so!!  You’d be a horrible parent!!  And does

the same Scripture not also deem that we are to obey man’s [government] laws while living

on earth?

Leaving children behind would surely mean grown up children I’d think.  Lot gave the option

to his [grown up]  sons-in-laws, too, to get away from Sodom.  They thought he was joking

& didn’t budge.  Only his daughters & wife went along…. And you know how she got peppered

with salt!!   LOL……   (best I can do at 7 in the morning!)….

Or, even if this Scripture was to mean leaving young children behind – I would think it would

mean being WILLING to love the Lord more than ANYTHING or ANYONE…. Including your

very own offspring.   But of course, it does not mean to go off & leave very young children

on their own, to fend for themselves, while you gallivant off to another state.

Matthew 19:13 Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them

and pray, but the disciples rebuked them14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to

Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Here’s “homework” for everybody!!  Go here:  http://www.biblegateway.com/keyword/

And type in the word, “children” ~ I personally like the NKJV translation (oh brother….

Now, people will start debating on THAT!!)…..   but plug it in & then start reading all the NT Scriptures regarding children… and trust me, there ARE plenty!!

Anyway, again, we have natural law & we have spiritual law.  But even when Moses was a

baby & placed in the basket, it was not because his parents were “deserting him”!!    FAR

FROM IT!!   Rather, it was to keep him safe!!

And now…. Are you ready for this little gem?   From Heb. 11: 24 By faith Moses, when he

became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 choosing rather to

suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, 26

esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he

looked to the reward.

AH-HA!!  There you have it!!   “when he became of age”!! ~ so you see, there is an “age of accountability” and I agree with Pastor Riley in that it is different for all children!

And this article from PawCreek somewhat goes along with Pastor Riley’s observations:

Now, from John MacArthur ~ and please do not assume I agree with EVERYTHING he says

either, but overall, I think he is a solid Bible teacher.

"Now its my personal conviction, my personal belief that in the rapture every child that is

too young to have made a conscience, willful, rebellious, sinful rejection of Jesus Christ will

be taken to be with the Lord. I believe that it would be just the same if a little child died

before he reached that age; he would instantly go to be with the Lord. David’s little boy died

(2 Samuel), he says, "He cannot come to me but I shall go to him." He knew where he was; he

knew he was in the presence of God. I believe when the rapture happens all the little kids

that are under the age where they made a conscience, willful, sinful, rebellion against God,

where they willfully turned their back on him, I believe the Lord will just take them right

with us. You say do you believe that about the children of the unsaved parents? Yes, that’s

just my personal opinion cause the Bible doesn’t say. But, if Jesus said, "If anybody offends

one of these little ones, it would be better for him..." what? "That a millstone were hanged

around his neck and he would drown in the sea. He said if anyone offends one of these MY

little ones." I think he possesses them. I think they belong to him, and I think they will go

in the rapture.

Yes, we know the requirements for salvation.  But for children, yet too young to understand ~

I still lean on the clincher being that David’s little boy (most definitely conceived in sin &

even sexual immorality, of which David later repented of!   See Psalm 51); anyway, his son ~

too young to understand right from wrong, too young to choose the Lord

went to heaven!!

Hoping this brings a measure of truth & comfort to those who are still unsure.

Hope to see you (and the young kiddos!)  SOON!    :)
