Hi all ~ and just to let you know, we are praying for you to EXPERIENCE God's peace that passes all understanding!!Cheryl ~ this may be the only thing that holds you together right now as you see your precious Rachel in this condition. Praying that God's presence will strongly be felt among both of you!!Karen ~ same thing in your case. Definitely praying!Douglas ~ we were at the exact point last year where you are now. I KNOW from sheer experience the fright, the terror & the worries. Funny how now I can remind you (or me) all day long that Jesus says NOT to worry & some even count it as sin. But boy howdy, when YOU are the one feeling like you're drowning & your back is against a wall ~ easier said than done.God made a way for us & He can make a way for you, too. Obedience means more to Him than sacrifice. Ask Him to point out if there's an area in your life where you need to be obedient to Him. By faith, cast the mountain of fear, doubt & worry into the sea..... and don't go fishing in THAT sea!If you still run into brick walls in getting someone to hire you even if you have a PhD in (i.e.) science, economics... what-have-you.... then just for the sake of bringing some $ in, you may want to consider getting something -that's moral and legal- going on ~ even if it's just mowing lawns. But to do something ~ ANYTHING ~ beats sitting around the house worrying about how bleak the situation is.And finally ~ it took this for us, it may take it for you, too -- tell Him that you will follow Him no matter what .... even being put thru' the wringer & losing your house is better than straying away from the Lord. Honestly, once I made that decision to stop bickering with my husband & constantly blaming him for the problem & threatening to bankrupt, but instead made up my mind that even if we went thru' the deepest, darkest $ journey once again ~ (as we had bankrupted some 20 years earlier & it was NOT something we wanted to do again...) but once I decided being with him was more important to me -- even if it meant going thru' that again, then things started to turn around for us.And believe me, we need to listen when the Holy Spirit speaks -- as it's that "still, small voice" that He speaks with & gives us ideas to act on in finding our niche.God has not forgotten about you! Ask for His wisdom & guidance ~ He will gladly grant it!!I was surfing for other things last night & found this excellent article that may help someone:"When the enemy comes in like a flood"MARANATHA!Reva
