1. I've only just finished reading the third of Lt Col Dave Winecoff's (USMC ret)  online books (www.waragoodwarfare.com)
 
2. Found them interesting and encouraging for a number of reasons. He writes from the sound point of view that Christian discipleship is one of being an active soldier of Christ.
 
3. Though the thought of war and violence is unpleasant to the mind, its (war) science and art is worth studying, for those of us who have not served in the military. Winecoff's book's help's us non-military types enhance our understanding and effectiveness as believers.
