Dear Doves,
 
Yesterday, 5-14-07 I saw an interesting event.
 
I just left home to go to the grocery store and was driving fairly slow enjoying the back roads.  I looked up and saw a hawk with something long in its claws as it flew just above my car.  I instantly stopped and backed up looking through my sunroof.
I saw the hawk now sitting on a limb of a large tree.  I wasn't sure what it had in its claws since I only saw limb.  Strangely, about 4 - 5 large black crows started harassing the hawk, swooping down at it.  The crows were carrying on wildly.  The hawk seemed confident and pretty much ignored the crows.  Then I noticed that the snake which was still in one of the hawks feet was swinging its body around and trying to bite the hawk!  I realized I was distracting the hawk who kept one eye on me and trying to avoid the bite of the snake and of course trying to ignore the black crows that must have been trying to get the hawks lunch.
I finally decided that I should move along if I didn't want the hawk to lose his battle, especially in light of my dream of the hawk and black crow.
