I believe that ten virgins in Matthew chapter 25 represented believers. The
only difference was that five virgins were spiritually awaken and ready,
and the other five were not.

 

 

Reading your post put me in mind of another verse to support this concept:

 

"Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee" (ASV).

 

Paul wrote this to the believers at Ephesus, and mentions their need to awake from their sleep. 

 

 

The Analytical Literal translation really brings out the meaning of the present indicative, and how this applies to believers:

 

"For this reason, He [or, it] says, 'Be waking up, the one sleeping, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.' "

 

Youngs Literal Translation adds more definition to the portrait Paul is painting: 

 

"wherefore he saith, 'Arouse thyself, thou who art sleeping, and arise out of the dead, and the Christ shall shine upon thee.' "

 

The LITV isn't bad either:

 

                "Because of this, He says, Arise, sleeping ones and stand up out of the dead ones, and Christ will shine on you."

 

Douay Rheims' version best sums up why believers need to be awake, and open to receiving enlightenment from the Holy Spirit:

 

"Wherefore he saith: Rise, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead: and Christ shall enlighten thee. See therefore, brethren, how you walk circumspectly: not as unwise, But as wise: redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Wherefore, become not unwise: but understanding what is the will of God."

 

But as far as what's going to happen on 7 - 7 - 07?  Let's see? Nothing more earth shattering than what happened on 6 - 6 - 06! Just alot of misreading of the spiritual tea-leaves. However, there is also a bright side to this: We will be one day closer to glory. As I see it, keeping the focus on "redeeming the time" - day by day -  is what will make us better prepared for that special day, when it actually arrives. Oh yeh! There is one other benefit: Such a walk will also enlighten as to the deficiencies hidden within the many false claims and rapture dates that are continually being offered.
