"June Rapture?"

Dear John,
Thank you, dear Brother, for your continual watching and praying for all of us.  We appreciate your faithfulness and dedication to the Lord!

As I was journaling last evening, some thoughts came to mind.  Bear in mind that I am NO mathematician, and God does use the foolish things to confound the wise.  Here are a few thoughts:

We've been looking for the return of Jesus during a previously-fulfilled Spring feast or a Fall feast, which seems to be logical.  But then, God does seem to defy human logic, don't you agree?

The story of the WEDDING FEAST in John Chapter 2 came to mind.  When do most weddings take place, traditionally?  JUNE!  And when is summer?  JUNE

Soooo... What if God decides to do a totally NEW feast - THE WEDDING FEAST!!!

This, then, would be keeping with the passage of ...Matthew 24:31-33:

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

So, a summer feast could be in the making...THE WEDDING FEAST!

This, too, would bear out Isaiah 43:18-19, which says:

18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up, do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. (NIV)

Ok, bear with me, please.  This is soooo exciting to me, a commoner!!!!  :)

Next, God brought to mind John, Chapter 2, the FIRST PUBLIC MIRACLE Jesus performed.  I've always wondered, until last night, why Jesus would use a wedding for His first public display of His power.  Why not just raise someone from the dead or something really, really big to get His point across?

Well, because it is at a WEDDING FEAST!  When I read the details of this account, I first learn that it is a wedding.  I learn it is on the 3rd day.  This could have the meaning of when Jesus arose on the third day, or the third day of this account of Jesus' life, or.... how about the 3rd day of the month?

Next, I see six (6) stone water jars, the kind used for ceremonial washing, each holding between 20 and 30 gallons.  Well, this could be a reference to baptism.  Washing before participating in a ceremony.  Or it could be a reference to the 6th month.

I realize all this seems like pure speculation.  I am not a prophet, nor do I purport to be.  These are just observations and revelations I feel the Lord gave to me, but whether it's this year or not, certainly I pray that it is, but...

We are all watching and praying and hoping for a specific day, but I've finally seen that God will have HIS own way, and He will not leave us or forsake us.  He is longing to take us Home to be with Him, just as we are longing to be Home with Him!

Hoping and praying we'll meet in the air soon, and very soon!!!

Thanks, Rhonda. We will be attending a wedding on the 3rd of June. It happens to be our wedding anniversary too!
