Discoveries -

• Ark of the Covenant Church in Shiloh - An excavation team has uncovered one of the oldest churches in the world-dating to the late fourth century-where it is believed that the Ark of the Covenant once stood in biblical times.

Israel's Enemies -

• King Abdullah's plans to link Jordan and the West Bank - Amman proposes a new state framework linking Jordan and the Palestinian Authority to be established before the rise of an independent Palestinian state. Amman is not thinking in terms of confederation or the West Bank’s reversion to annexed Hashemite territory, the status it held before Jordan’s 1967 war defeat.

Jerusalem -

• United Jerusalem Turns 40 - On May 16th, Israel celebrates the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem during the Six Day War in 1967. Over 3,000 years of history, the Holy City was divided only once, under Jordanian rule between 1948 and 1967.

• Olmert held secret talks on West Bank - Struggling to stay in office, PM set to negotiate state with Palestinians

Religion -

• Rabbis Call for Temple Mount Visits - Close to 30 leading religious-Zionist rabbis visited the Temple Mount "in purity" on Sunday, after taking the necessary Halakhic precautions. The precautions involve immersing in a mikveh (ritual bath), taking off one's shoes, and clarifying the precise areas forbidden for entry - or else going only with a guide who knows the area.

Sanhedrin -

• "Interview with Rabbi Dov Stein” (by Endtime Ministries) <- This will knock your socks off!!! - Here are some topics addressed in this audio: (a) Rabbi Stein is Secretary of the newly reborn 71-member Sanhedrin. (b) How will the Sanhedrin, and the Jews in general, recognize the Messiah when He comes? (c) The Sanhedrin is preparing a letter to send to all world leaders, inviting them to come to Jerusalem to meet with them.  They plan to tell them: (1) let’s quit fighting, (2) let’s come to Jerusalem, (3) let’s talk peace, (4) the answer to peace is to build a temple on the temple mount where all religions can meet and worship. (d) The Sanhedrin believe they must have such a spiritual group again to interpret the laws of Israel before Messiah can return. (e) They are expecting their Messiah any time now!
