"Praise Report!"

Dear Doves,

I just have to give God the glory for this...

After being hospitalized for a week in 1974, I was diagnosed with a hypothyroidism, and told I would have to take Armour Thyroid all my life.  In 1976, I recommitted my life to the Lord, and began attending the Full Faith Church of Love.  One night after a service, I felt strongly that the Lord wanted me to walk out in faith and be healed.  I went home and flushed all my pills, and just went on with my life, knowing that God did not want me to have this illness.  Over the years, during yearly checkups my thyroid levels have always been NORMAL!  Praise God!

Well, in 2003, my doctor diagnosed me with Type II diabetes.  I attended the classes, learned to count my carbs, stuck my fingers 3 x a day, and took my pills.  After awhile, I just felt like this disease was not me, and I decided to trust the Lord again.  I quit sticking my finger, quit taking the pills, and ate what I wanted.  At my annual checkup (3.0-6.0 being normal) my A1C blood test came back 5.8.  Hallelujah!  OK, but due to things, I failed to get a checkup in 2006.  My COBRA runs out at the end of this month, so I contacted an insurance agent (who turned out to be a devout Christian, PTL!) and he is submitting my application.  I didn't realize until this that if I am turned down there is really no backup plan; no insurance companies want anyone with a diagnosis of diabetes.  g-r-e-a-t :(   I began to regret eating all those little pints of butter pecan ice cream. I had an appt for another A1C blood test last week. My agent and I were believing God, and the results came back last Saturday-- a 5.6!  Even better than 2 years ago--all perfectly NORMAL!  Not only that but my doctor (Jewish) said she may be willing to admit perhaps she made a mistake. She doesn't know what else to think, but I do!  I just wanted to shout the praises to our Glorious Lord Jesus and give Him the Glory!!! And hopefully give encouragement to others.  Jesus is truly The Great Physician, and He's always IN, no appointment necessary!  Praise God!!! Also, I'm going back in May 30 for the rest of the physical, and can't wait to witness to her how Jesus has healed me!!! I know the deadpan look I'm going to get from her, but I don't care; she has a right to know her Messiah's name and the POWER of that name!!!  His name is not "the name." His name is Yeshua, Jesus!

Psa 103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good [things; so that] thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

I haven't heard if my application has been accepted for insurance coverage.  I have peace no matter what the outcome, but I ask for your prayers all the same.
