Clouds bring rain. Several states have major flooding now while I type. More states have had flooding recently. Huge areas of cloud brought the rain. Job wrote 4,000 years ago about clouds. Here it is from The Bible:
Job 36:29 ".can any understand the spreading of the clouds."
Job 37:16 "Do you know how the clouds are balanced [and poised in the heavens]."
Job 38:37 "Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the [water] bottles of the heavens"

If you read the complete passage in The Bible, you learn it was not Job asking those questions. It was HOLY SPIRIT asking Job (and us). Job was simply delivering the information which HOLY SPIRIT spoke. Job had no idea that those questions to us included important information for us.

1860: Christoph Buys Ballot discovered air pressure and wind act together (the spreading of the clouds). Continued studies by others during the next hundred years, mostly with balloons and then airplanes in the U.S.A., showed us the electricity involved in clouds sideways and up and down. There is a balance to this with 1800 amperes of electricity spread around Earth by clouds. The energy of each cloud rising must come down somewhere as a thunderstorm. Scientists estimated 1800 thunderstorms must exist at every moment to send that energy back to Earth.

1960: A series of Tiros weather satellites gave us our first look at thunderstorms around Earth. They were spread out evenly. Where one huge storm existed, several smaller storms would be opposite. The total of storms was always approximately 1800. When one storm stops, another begins somewhere else; always 1800.

Our weather is determined primarily by clouds. Air pressure and wind move clouds around. Heat moves clouds upward. Clouds control rain and snow plus they change air pressure, wind, and heat. Our weather forecasts focus on cloud movements. HOLY SPIRIT told Job 4000 years ago about world wide weather controlled by clouds.
