I have been writing these messages for seven years now. For seven years readers have asked me what my favorite Bible verse is. This has never been very many requests in response to anything in particular. It has been steady; one or sometimes two most days for seven years.

Before I tell you, remember that my favorite is not more important to you. Other Bible verses are more important to you. Here are mine:

For 49 ½ years, I realized the importance of John 3:16 and our eternal life. I also realized another verse tells us how to get the best results during the part of our life here on Earth.  Philippians 4:8 "For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]."

After my body died, I read the book of Job again. Job calls the death of our bodies in  Job 18:14 ".the king of terrors."  I have written in other messages that you do not die when your body dies. Most people do fear that day. This is a very important verse which is almost totally ignored.

Now that I have been to the Paradise part of Heaven and talked with JESUS, this verse means more to me than any other (although I still try to follow Philippians 4:8) : Psalm 27:4 "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple."

That is what I want more than anything else.
