"dreams, black and white,
literal, interpretation etc."
I hHave listened to some interesting stuff re
dream interpretation from John Paul Jackson. The problem with him though
is that he only has CD's and classes, no books. I did read one by Jane
Hamon called Dreams and Visions that was helpful. One thing that John Paul
said that made sense was that 1/3 of our life is sleeping. This is a time
that God can reach us by bypassing our normal state of mind and speak to
our subconscious mind. Our normal defense mechanisms are down and we are
able to receive things that may conflict with our waking understanding.
The devil of course can do this too so it is good to be grounded in the
word before really understanding what God is trying to say. There are many
many examples in scripture in which God has spoken to his people thru dreams.
God does not change. The problem is there is not a clear understanding
and sometimes it takes research to discover what God has told us in a dream.
Many people do not take seriously that God is trying to communicate to
us in a dream so many of us lose out in a blessing. God speaks to us in
symbols and dreams are full of them. It really is not that hard once you
learn the basics. There are pitfalls however, so one must be careful.
For example I had a dream last night of a man speaking
to me about giving everything away when he became a Christian. I saw him
in black and white, the thought came to me, it is 'black and white' clear
and literal. He took scripture as black and white, clear cut, no shadow
of doubt. So I wake up this morning and the bible turns to Matthew 19:29
"Anyone who gives up his home, brothers, sisters, father, mother, wife,
children, or property, to follow me, shall receive a hundred times as much
in return, and have eternal life."
such a deal.
