Some of us have been taught that all sickness is not of God.
However, some times when I feel closest to God is when I am ill, such as having a virus with a mild fever. I think that sickness sometimes can remove the wall we place between us and God. Sickness can prevent us from doing something we shouldn't and it can also humble us and give us compassion and love for others. Does God send difficulties our way to strengthen us and benefit others? I guess how we respond to those difficulties detemines how willing we are to do things God's way. Certainly some sickness is an attack of the enemy, but not all sickness is from the enemy.
 
I thank God for the feeling of love I have in my heart now even though I am weak and feverish. It is like the feeling of closeness I have with God during a long fast. Time to listen, time to reflect, time to rest and feel His love.
