"Recent Dreams"

For the past two weeks I have had dreams that I believe were from the Lord. In the first week, three days I had dreams that involved brides and weddings. The second week I specifically asked the Lord in my heart, silently praying, that because I could not understand what His message to me was that day would He send me the message in a dream. When I awoke, I wrote down the dream and the meaning, which was readily apparent to me. That night I asked the Lord before falling asleep to confirm that dream was from Him by sending me another related dream, but different from the first one. As an afterthought I asked the Lord if He would also give me a clue as to when we would be leaving here.

Again, when I awoke I wrote down the dream, and again I understood the meaning, which was related to the first dream. That dream ended with a voice saying "Get rid of the leaven." This applied to the message of the dream, but I believe it also tied in with the afterthought about the timing. Since Passover is the Feast of Unleavened Bread I think the message about getting rid of the leaven referred to this time of year, when we are told to get rid of the leaven, and the dream occurred on the first day of Second Passover. The same thing happened the next day, and again the dream was related to the other two. I will not go into detail about the dreams other than to say they all showed me that not all Christians have been called to be the Bride, that many who would fool others are not going to be in the called-out group. I was also shown that if we have a secret sin, then we need to confess it and not allow it in our lives any more. We are to be about the business of getting our wedding garments ready and not put that off as time is so short.

This morning, Saturday, May 12, 2007, I awoke from yet another dream that I believe has a prophetic meaning. I do not remember this time specifically asking the Lord to give me a dream before I fell asleep. It was very short and I will share it. I dreamed that for some unknown reason I was in a prison and had been there for two weeks, but was about to be released. It was a very large prison with several floors, with work areas such as a prison laundry, where I went to get my clothes for release, and both men and women were there. Everyone knew my day of release had arrived and people with whom I had become friends were telling me goodbye, and then the officials called me to the main office to give me the orders to leave. I then woke up as I was headed to the door to leave the prison.

If this dream's meaning is not readily apparent to the readers, I will offer the explanation. This world is not our home but our prison, and we have friends and we work here. We are to be getting our garments clean for our final departure from this prison. The reference to two weeks could be a reference to the timing, which would be Saturday, May 26. I do not know what, if anything, has been noted about this particular day. However if a week were symbolic of a day, then two days from now will be May 14, about which many things have been written. I am not setting any dates, only reporting my dream.

I have had these dreams for only the past two weeks, and there were 3 dreams the first week, three the second, and then the seventh or final dream today. I don't know if these dates are important, but the first week, of general dreams about brides and weddings, the dreams were April 23, April 26, and April 28. The second week, when I specifically asked the Lord to send me dreams with the message He wanted me to know, were on April 30, May 1, and May 2. The final dream was May 12, which was 10 days after the last "message" dream, and it showed the departure from prison.

I think it is interesting that the passage in both Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17 regarding the Lord pouring out His spirit, specifically mentions "your sons and your daughters". Both times the speakers were Jewish. I am not saying that only those with Jewish roots will have dreams and visions and prophesy, but I would think those who do are to be taken seriously.  I am not trying to sound important, only stating the facts, but yes, my family was discovered to have Jewish roots as I long suspected. My father, who has always had a great love for the Jewish people, had a DNA test done that proved his people were Ashkenazi, or Eastern European, Jews. Those who would argue the fact that one's "Jewishness" only passes through the mother's bloodline would be arguing against the Bible. Jesus's own geneaology shows more than one Gentile mother who was married to the Jewish father. Remember Rahab and Ruth?

I think the significant message or theme throughout all these dreams has been getting our garments clean and spotless by getting rid of the known sin in our lives, and that not everyone who calls themselves by the name of Jesus will be part of the called-out group. In fact, some of those that everyone thinks will be at the front of the line to enter through the door to the wedding will in fact not be there at all.

Just a few years ago I was firmly convinced that ALL believers will go in the rapture, but I think the Lord has been confirming to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear that the rapture is a reward to the Bride of Christ, and not the same as the gift of salvation and eternal life. That is promised to all who believe, but the Lord Himself said that "Many are called but few are chosen." I think the whole issue of worthiness has to do with this special group of those who are called to be a part of the Bride. I would encourage those who have not read the book Kay mentioned to read it. It makes many Old Testmament passages very clear as they relate to the New Testament.
