"To Jan Mikael about Avalon"

Dear brother Jan Mikael, I am not an expert on dreams, but I will tell you what my first thought was on reading your letter about Avalon. Avalon is an island in the land of King Arthur. According to legend the mighty sword Excalibur was forged there, and this is where the mortally wounded King Arthur was taken to die. Some legends say that he did not die, but was healed there and will return to reign again one day.

Though many would say the American president John F. Kennedy was a rotten one, he did accomplish some good things during his term of office. It is said that he loved the story of King Arthur, and that the recording of the musical Camelot was one of his favorites and was on the turntable in his office when he died. Many people refer to his days in office as the "Age of Camelot". Some compare JFK to King Arthur and his lovely wife Jacqueline to Arthur's queen Guinevere. Some people say that in the USA the golden days of Camelot ended with JFK's assassination, and that after this point in history America's innocence was lost.

My thoughts about Avalon burning is that Avalon is symbolic of the USA, and King Arthur is symbolized by John F. Kennedy, one of America's most well-remembered presidents. Almost everyone who was alive at the time of his death can remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when the news was announced. I know I remember with vivid detail, though I was only about ten at the time. If Avalon is the USA, then Avalon burning would mean the USA is burning or will be burning.

Many people think the USA is Babylon of the end times as mentioned in the Bible. If this is so, then judgement by fire will surely befall the USA. It is curious that Avalon sounds very much like Babylon. I am not going to say that the USA is Babylon, but I firmly believe that because of the wickedness that exists in this land, the Lord will bring judgement upon it, and I believe that judgement will include fire. Fires can include forest fires, earthquakes that will bring fires, and volcanoes such as Yellowstone that will erupt and bring forth fire. I think the judgement will be devastating and all-encompassing.

In any case, whether the USA is the biblical Babylon, or whether Babylon refers to the actual land in the Middle East, where the USA has a physical presence, I think the words about Avalon burning are a warning to the United States of America that the judgement of the Lord is coming soon. The Lord always gives a warning through His prophets before judgement comes, and many prophets today are sounding the alarm about judgement coming upon America.
