the phrase 'last days' here is

last = 2078g = gematria 1376

days = 2250g = gemaitra 154

gematria total -

     1376 + 154 = 1530  <<<

this fits conceptually into a last days 'model' that the taking of the
153 fish out of the sea is the end of something, possibly the rapture.

it also makes possible sense out of this numeric puzzle that all
triangle numbers added through the 17th (153) = 969.

Methuselah represents the longest Age, dying at 969.

if you look at Genesis 5, the equivalent of the Last Days would be the
time period right before the Flood.

Methuselah dies out of order. he outlives all but Noah, his grandson -
dying the year of the Flood 1656.
