I also have developed  'an obsessive-compulsive bug....!' to use Rene's description only mine is a little wierder.
 
Even though the house I live in is not mine (we rent) I have started turning the garden into a 'market garden'!! don't know why and have never done this before and it's quite a challenge learning how to grow things. I tell the Lord I wish He were coming soon and ask why I am driven to do this. So far this year I have planted cabbages, cauliflowers, onions, carrots, leaks, potatoes, salad, scallions, masses of tomatoes, sprouts, broad beans, gooseberry bushes, red white and blackcurrant bushes, grape vines, red and yellow peppers courgettes, chillies, aubergines ,cucumbers, strawberries and loads of herbs. I even threw a hand full of barley out the back door!! I keep thinking that they will be for the people that come after me!!! AM I MAD!
 
If anyone has any tips on how best to grow the above successfully I would be very happy.
