In response to Deborah's posting, I will share my thoughts as to this
portion of scripture.

There is a wide difference of opinion concerning the timetable of the
invasion of Israel, and my own opinion has varied over the past
years.    However, I currently am of the belief that this invasion by
Russia and the Arab hordes will not take place until after the
anti-christ appears.  Scripture indicates that the invasion will occur
when the walls in Israel are removed, and Israel will never remove the
walls they have erected unless they have the assurance  of protection
from the anti-christ.

I feel that the attack of Iran's nuclear facilities is fairly certain,
unless the Rapture occurs prior to this, which would cause world wide
chaos.  This would be an opportune time for the anti-christ to appear on
the world scene.  If the Rapture does not occur before the attack on
Iran, then when this takes place,  the result will be a severe backlash
from terrorists and Iran throughout the world, and this may well bring
the anti-christ to power.  But before the anti-christ appears, the
Rapture will occur, and the USA will suddenly become a second rate
power.  This would be an ideal time for the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39 to
take place.

We are fast running out of time here on earth, and we need to focus our
attention on the only two things that are eternal - God's word and
people.
