The Da Vinci Code and the Gospel of Judas remind me of what Satan said to Eve in the Garden of Eden about eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Satan said, “You will not surely die” (Genesis 3:4), which is a denial of what God said to man in Genesis 2:17.  Well guess what happened?  Man has been dying ever since.

Jesus said to those who denied Him, “You are of your father, the devil” (John 8:44).  Paul called those who preached another gospel “servants of Satan”, (II Corinthians 11:15).  The Da Vinci Code and the Gospel of Judas, and others that are surely to follow, are going to cause more people to feel comfortable with their own lack of faith, and that there is no need to worry about the state of their eternal soul.  That is exactly what Satan’s scheme is (I Timothy 4:1).  This is a prelude for the soon appearance of the Antichrist, who will deny that Jesus Christ is God.

God warns man of the consequences of altering his word in Revelation 22: 18-19. “If any man should add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”  If you haven’t read the book of Revelation, you may want to do that without delay, to see what God is talking about.  God has promised to bless you if you do this. (Revelation: 1:3)

The question we must ask is, upon what will I trust my life?    Will it be the works of Satan, the great deceiver, or the holy word of God, represented by the God-man, Jesus Christ?  Your answer will determine your future, just as it did for Adam and Eve, and everyone who followed after them.
