I have enclosed a link for an article that just appeared in an Israeli
newspaper. People ask me why is it so hard to witness to Jewish people? Why
don't my three sons Joshua, Avi and Noah listen to me about Jesus? Why has my
sister and cousins and other family members written me off as dead since I
accepted Jesus? Read the article below and you will begin to see but only to a
small extent. God put blinders on the Jewish people(Romans 11:8) and you
should be thankful for that, but only He can remove them. Several years ago, I
was trying to witness to an Orthodox Rabbi who lived in Jerusalem and belonged
to Aish HaTorah, an organization trying to get Jews back to their roots and
away from missionaries. I know that was chutzpah-sue me! Anyway, he tried to
tell me that I was no longer Jewish since I had accepted Christ. We argued
back and forth for weeks until I finally convinced him that I was as Jewish as
he was although I had come to the realization that Jesus Christ,Yeshua
Hamashiach, was fulfillment of the Tanakh (OT) prophecies. Well he finally
conceded that I was still a Jew(who else would argue with him so vehemently?)
but he then added that for my belief in Jesus I would spend all of eternity in
hell in  burning excrement! I was shocked. I had never heard that one before.
I later found out that it says in the Talmud, b.Gittin 56b-57a, that "Jesus is
in hell in burning excrement"! Oy vay! Good thing that I am not God. I was
burning but not in that way.
Again, only God can remove the blinders off of the Jewish people. We can
witness to them and sow seeds but only the Holy Spirit can remove those
blinders. There is about as much of a chance of my sons and sister and family
to believe in Christ as there was for me to believe. Yeah right. Sure? No way,
Jose! If God can remove my blinders and soften my stiff neck, than He can do
it for any Jew, anywhere, any place!
