On June 5, 1967, Egypt started the 6 Day Way with Israel.  This is a bit from www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/67broad.html  This is a site with info all about that war.  I found this interesting, though.....  it says "the ruler of Egypt has been annountcing his plan to attack and destroy Israel since he assumed power."  Hmmmmmmmmmmm    One must know history to know the future.....a quote by somebody once upon a time..or, the past is prologue.   So, here we have the new leader of Iran mouthing the SAME WORDS ONCE AGAIN........  Question:   DOES ANYBODY THINK HE DOESN'T MEAN IT ???? !!!!!!!
 

In the early hours of 5 June 1967, hostilities broke out. Within three hours the Egyptian air force was virtually destroyed. There was also fighting on the ground. Prime Minister Eshkol broadcast the following message to the people of Israel:

Citizens of Israel:
Since the hours of this morning our forces, on land and in the air, are returning war with a view to vanquishing the armies of the aggressive ruler of Egypt.
Egypt has forced a military campaign upon us, and all of us - the entire nation the soldiers in the front line and the civilians in the rear, will stand fast with courage and good cheer. We shall repulse the enemy and defeat his army.
Throughout the years since he assumed power, the ruler of Egypt has been announcing his plan and his preparations to attack Israel in order to destroy it. During the past three weeks he has not concealed from the world the fact that the time has come to carry out his scheme.
 

And, look at these words from the Prime Minister of Israel in the same address to his people in JUne, 1967:

Arrogantly and braggingly, Nasser has made a mockery of international law, has scorned the Charter of the United Nations, and has brought to naught mankind's aspiration to peace.

Does anything ever change ??????   The Iran problem at this moment is exactly the same........WOW!
WHAT GOOD IS THE UNITED NATIONS......THEY HAVEN'T STOPPED ANYTHING...EVER.....It's just a voice for the little nations of the world........like all those Islamic nations........who won't even address the problems of such suffering within their OWN nations......like Darfur, currently......or Rowanda in the 1990's.  ONE MILLION PEOPLE killed........NO ONE DID ANYTHING.  (Great movie, Hotel Rowanda....)  What an absolute shame.

There was a great piece on FiveDoves recently (or somewhere) talking about why the Jews have been attacked by almost everyone now for 2000 years.  The conclusion of that article:  Jews have been under such attack SIMPLY because they have been, and still are, God's chosen people.

I was in Israel in 1998 with a church trip.  One night I had dinner with our Israeli guide and I said something like, well, you are God's chosen people.  She said, and I will NEVER forget this:  Let him choose someone else.  WE are tired of it all........   WOW. And that was 8 years ago...
