I agree with Rene about the Left Behind series.
While no one can say what that period of time will actually be like and I hope that no one on this board is "left behind", I think that the whole series was thoughtfully laid out and has been a tremendous tool to reach the unsaved.
I can tell you that the last one of the series, "The Glorious Appearing" really touched my heart and could be a pretty accurate telling of what that will be like.
I would also highly recommend the book, "The Ezekiel Option" by Joel Rosenburg. Now that is a book that is NOW...present tense....could happen....etc. Mr. Rosenburg is a born again Jew and the message of salvation and end time prophecy is woven into a geopolitical thriller with a supernatural "twist" that I could not put down! I guarantee anyone who reads it will be very moved!
