The Ten Virgins of Matthew 25 are the are not the Bride, they are
friends of the Bride. They represent those who make it through the
tribulation, there are not the Christians in this dispensation. We are
saved already.During the tribulation one must "endure to the end" to be saved (and
not
take the mark, and keep the commandments, and give food and water to
persecuted Jews, etc.). Therefore it is based upon works. If somebody
does not do this, then they won't be saved when the cry . In other words
"once saved always saved" applies to the Church today in this
dispensation because of grace, but that is not the policy for
tribulation saints. They either die as martyrs during the tribulation,
or else they must make it to the end without slipping up.Note: Why would Christ marry 5 or 10 virgins? He is not a polygamist!
Look at these examples where the virgins are not the Bride:
Esther 2:17
And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and
favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal
crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.Song of Solomon 6:8
There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins
without number. My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of
her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters
saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they
praised her.
Revelation 14:4
These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.
These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were
redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. The Church is a single "virgin" she is his only wife:
2 Corinthians 11:2:
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you
to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the
church: and he is the saviour of the body.Ephesians 5:31-32
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be
joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great
mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
*Here is another example where the virgins are not the bride: the
coronation hymn of the Kingdom of Heaven where many different groups of
people play a part - the Church is the bride - but there are others
described. These probably include the righteous saints before the flood,
the believing and observant old testament Jews, righteous old testament
gentiles, tribulation martyrs, tribulation saints, all the remaining
Jews who get saved, the remainder of the nations who survive both the
tribulation and the post-tribulation trials, those persons born during
the millennium, and the the holy angels and other holy hosts of heaven.
After this 1000 years is a new heaven and earth, in which Christ's
government and peace shall "increase" forever! Isaiah 9:7Psalm 45
1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I
have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy
lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy
majesty.
4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and
righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the
people fall under thee.
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is
a right sceptre.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy
God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the
ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand
did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also
thine own people, and thy father's house;
11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and
worship thou him.
12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich
among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of
wrought gold.
14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the
virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter
into the king's palace.
16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make
princes in all the earth.
17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore
shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
