Thank you for the important posts you did on this.  They were excellent.  I've held that the prophecy was fullfilled by Jesus at His crucifixtion and beyond also, but you did a brilliant job explaining it.  It was good to see your reasoning and how you laid it out.  I know how much work and study you did and thank you again for sharing it with us.
 
I disagree with describing the timeline as a general one and of having the "generation" inserted at the end, but I don't believe the Lord has allowed this to be revealed to us yet, but I have hopes He will soon, for the time is at hand.  I believe that when the Lord says 490 years, He means it.
 
I think the rest of that last week occurred in real time at a point in the early church, we just don't know the dates of the events in Acts yet.  I think the rest of the verse is talking about the time after that point, for desolations have been occurring for Israel and the rest of mankind for nearly 2,000 years now.  The consummation is still ahead, shortly I believe.
 
But your major point that Jesus fullfilled ALL of the points listed in Dan 9:24 is RIGHT ON!!!!
