     I take comfort in

Psa 84:11 For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace
and glory: no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

     My beloved dog with whom I lived alone for twelve years was indeed a
good thing and a gift from God.  God will not withhold her from me for the
rest of eternity.  (Nor the two other dogs he has graciously added to my
life since.)
