It's pretty common knowledge by now that the Mayan calendar ends its fifth and final cycle on December 21, 2012 and begins a new 5 cycles the following day. These five cycles collectively correspond to one precession of the equinox which roughly takes about 2600 years (or 1 trip through each of the 12 zodiacs)  to complete. What does this have to do with end times? Well, we know that Rosh Hashanna, Oct. 4 2005 was 14000 days from the 6-day war of 1967. But, as someone pointed out on another BBS, October 4th 2005 + 40 + 1335 + 1260 brings us to December 21st 2012. Is this a coincidence? Or did the Mayans have some astronomical insights into something spectacular happening on, or around that date?
