Dear John,I am writing today because I have a couple things that I feel the need to set before you and the Doves.First, many of the Doves (and others) believe that the letter to the church at Laodicea perfectly describes the apostasy in the ranks of Christianity today. Further, when one looks at "Christianity" all over the world, it becomes obvious that the Laodicean "spirit" is no where better revealed in the churches than it is right here in the United States of America. The fact is, in some places in the world today there are revivals going on with many hundreds and even thousands turning to Christ. I have in mind western and southern Africa in particular. Revival is also going on in some parts of the former Soviet Union, and even in some Muslim dominated countries. In almost all of these places those who are being saved and seeking to follow the Lord are suffering persecution and even martyrdom for their faith. It is only in the so-called "leading" nations of the world, such as Europe, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and the U.S. that rank Laodicean apostasy is occurring in the churches, and the United States of America is leading the pack. This country has become the very epitome of "Laodicea." History itself reveals clearly that when the churches and their leaders [pastors] in any country leave their "faith" and go into apostasy, the entire country follows their example. Brother, I have been pointing out for years that America as a nation has fallen into moral chaos and depravity for no other reason than that most of the churches and pastors of America have turned their back on the Lord that they "profess" to serve. Someone once said, "The church in the world is a witness for Christ, but the world in the church is a servant of Satan." Sadly, that is the state of most of the churches in America today, and even as the Lord said to Laodicea, they are so "blind" that they don't even know it, Revelation 3:17.I do thank God that there is still a "little remnant" of churches and pastors in America that are "standing in the gap," immovable and unchangeable, who love the Lord and His Word and His people. It is this "little Philadelphian remnant" that are still doing whatever they can to lift high the blood stained banner of Christ, who are still preaching and teaching "the faithful Word," Titus 1:9, and who are still holding fast to "the blessed hope," Titus 2:13, of our Lord's soon return. Praise God for "the Philadelphian remnant."But this doesn't change the fact that so-called "Christianity" in America has become the very epitome of "Laodiceanism." No country on earth better represents the "Laodicean spirit" than the United States of America. If this offends some readers, then write to me right away and I'll be glad to let you apologize to me.Brother, I wrote all this to point out one solemn truth that many readers totally overlook. What happened to Laodicea? Not only the church, but the entire city of Laodicea? What was the end of that wicked, apostate, city? If any reader will take time to do the research, the history books and encyclopedias document the fact that Laodicea came to a sudden and terrible end as a result of massive earthquakes. Hello! Is America's phone ringing? While readers are thinking about this, think also about Mt. St. Helens, the San Andreas fault, the Yellowstone caldera, the New Madrid fault, and the utter stupidity of those "leaders" who plan to set off 700 tons [1,400,000 pounds] of explosives in one gigantic blast on June 2nd in the Nevada desert. That is just two days before Pentecost and four days before June 6, 2006 [6-6-6]. What is going to happen? I don't know! All I really know is that Laodicea came to a sudden, terrible end by massive earthquakes, and whatever sets them off, I can't help but feel that America's demise is going to be accomplished in the same way. Have a good day!Brother John, the second thing I want to mention is that my whole computer crashed a couple days ago. I lost a lot of files and other info. I have been trying for the last two days to get it back up and running again, all to no avail. Therefore I have bought another PC in order to get back online quickly. I think the message of God's Word is vital and our time to get it out to the people is short. Along with the new PC came six months of free time, so I also have a new email address that I want to pass along to the Doves (and others). If anyone has sent me an email in the last three days, I did not receive it. If any email sent to me in the past three days is important I would appreciate it being resent, and all future emails to me should be sent to the following email address:Thank you so much. God bless you all. I'm looking forward to meeting all of my dear brothers and sisters in Christ personally at the "Great Reunion in Glory" in a few months [or weeks...or days...or hours]. Glory!Pastor F. M. Riley
