Doves, I just shared some of the recent posts about 17 with my dear friend Ian Mallette, whom I consider a biblical mathematician. He pointed out to me that 2006 is a multiple of 17, the factors being 17 and 118.  Ascension Day, the 25th day of the 5th month: as the Europeans write the day 25/5, or 255, divides evenly by 17 and 15. More coincidences?
