Greetings All:

I just want to point out that BEFORE Pesach/Exodus from Egypt, the calendar had Tishrei as the first month.  That means Noah entered the ark in the second month -- Bul/Chesvan -- because this happens before Pesach is established.

The original seventh month -- Abib/Nisan -- was then reappointed by YHVH as the "first" month when Pesach occured.

We are now the second lunar month after Abib so we in Iyar, which before the Exodus would have been the eight month.
