"PRE: EAR  Daniel's 70 weeks and the covenant - final part VI (05/20/06)"

Hello EAR:

By far this was the best explanation I have ever read on the 70th Week of Daniel. Anyone reading this on the Five Doves will be confronted with the truth, and if they reject it-well, I pity them. I believe when you are presented the truth in such a clear, concise fashion and then reject it: “blindness in part” will come on “the Israel of God” (the Church) in the area they reject him,  just like it did on Israel a long time ago. When one rejects the Messiah (by referring to Jesus as the antichrist or the desolator in Dan. 9:27), I believe a dark veil covers there prophetic eye which can only be removed by repentance and telling Jesus how sorry they were for publicly referring to him as such evil. This is a very serious matter that confronts the modern day Laodician Church, IF we are the last generation. The consequences will be devastating to our “twisted” end time view.

As I read each part of your 6 part series, I was like a cheerleader rooting for the home team. You should have heard me. I was and am so excited over this treatise of the 70 Weeks of Daniel, I could hardly contain myself! This work should go down as a classic on the Five Doves, and I hope you will put it in print for others.

I am however a little puzzled why you didn’t address the two Scriptures in the New Testament that clearly refer to Jesus as “the confirmer of the covenant”:

Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: and

Galatians 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Clearly Christ confirmed the covenant according to the Word of God. No where in the Bible does it say the antichrist confirms anything; ONLY CHRIST!

EAR, I do have one major problem that popped up in the last full paragraph of your part 6. You said:

The prophecy concludes with the fact that with the temple removed, the “holy mountain” will be made desolate by overspreading abominations, which will remain until the consummation when the judgments held in reserve will be poured on the desolator. A “prequel” to this consummation was experienced in the fall of Jerusalem and the events following until Mesada-70-73AD.

I do not believe the statement “the judgments held in reserve will be poured on the desolator” is what Gabriel had in mind when he said …and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate in Daniel 9:27.

I believe that determined shall be poured upon the desolate represents one of two things:

 A) Either the trouble associated with the great tribulation shall be poured out on Israel (the desolate), where 2/3’s will be killed by blood thirsty Islamic devils during the time of Jacob’s trouble.

B) Or the Spirit of Grace and supplication will be poured out on Israel (the desolate) when Jesus returns: Zec. 12:10 states:

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Ear, in either case THE DESOLATE in Daniel 9:27 is Israel and not the desolator (antichrist). If you change “the desolate” to “the desolator” in Daniel 9:27, that change in literary terms automatically qualifies the “he” as the same thing (the desolator or antichrist), since it is in the same sentence structure.

Ear, this is the heart of the enemy’s subtle attack on this critical set of prophetic Scriptures. That simple change from desolate to desolator changes the whole scenario. Just like comparing Hitler (the desolator) to the 6 Million dead (desolate) Jews is staggering, the consequences of twisting the word “desolate to desolator” will be just as devastating to our end time view!

If you have Sir Robert Anderson’s Book: THE COMING PRINCE, turn to Chapter 5 entitled THE ANGELS MESSAGE (page 51). Notice that Sir Robert pretty much used the King James Version through out the entire book EXCEPT IN DANIEL 9:27, where he ever so slyly switched to the RV rendering “the desolator”! Gabriel didn’t say both did he. Sir Robert’s work is considered the standard work on Daniel 9:24-27 in prophetic circles. Almost every book I have on the subject of the 70th week use Sir Robert as their authority! Even C.I Scofield, who was a close friend of Sir Robert Anderson, fell for it. Just check out his notes on Dan. 9:27 in the Scofield Reference Bible and see for yourself.

In Genesis 3:1 the serpent subtly said to the woman …yea hath God said? He tried and succeeded in getting Eve off track in questioning God’s word. Satan has continued this attack on the words of God throughout history. And now here we are in the 21 Century, very possibly the LAST GENERATION, and here is clear evidence of his fingerprints. Tell me which did God say in Daniel 9:27: the DESOLATE or the DESOLATOR? God certainly didn’t say both did he? One answer qualifies the “he” as Christ: the other answer makes the “he” antichrist! Which did God Say?

Ear please consider the gravity of what I have brought to light about changing this word, and please let us know your opinion. Other than that, I believe this document is flawless.
