"Re: Jim Bramlett's "Oral Roberts' wife predicted departure""

Hello Beloved Doves,

Jim's post ...

http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/may2005/jim55-2.htm

When I heard the news Thursday morning that Oral's beloved wife, Evelyn, had passed, this was the thought that came to me as my heart wept:

"The Lord took his bride."

And then I thought of the bride that Oral had been so instrumental in introducing to our beloved Bridegroom ... and I wondered then if this was a marker, a whisper in the Spirit to those that are listening.

I had the blessing in my life of attending Oral Roberts University in 1975; my mother made me quit attending there because she thought I had turned into a fanatic.  : )  I have always said that my one semester at ORU was the closest thing to heaven that I have ever experienced on earth.

Back then and through these many years, Oral always referred to his beloved Evelyn as his "bride".

Being cautioned against playing "Bible Roulette" so many times, yet so many more times, opening up the Word to exactly what I needed to read, hear, and apply, I pay no attention to such advice ... as He cares for the sparrow, He cares for you and me ... and longs to speak to those that seek and listen ... here is my "Bible Roulette" winner for this morning:

Isaiah 62:11-12

Indeed the Lord has proclaimed
To the end of the world:
"Say to the daughter of Zion,
'Surely your salvation is coming;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His work before Him.' "
And they shall call them The Holy People
The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken.

We lift our eyes as our Redemption draws nigh!

In His love and mine,
