"To Dinah"
"Dinah, is there anyone finah, in the state of
Carolina, if there is and you know her, show her to me.." so we sing in
these parts!
I'm setting out over the mountain again, and this time
for a longer trip. Before I go, you must know ....JESHUA LOVES YOU.
You are not alone "for he hath said, "I will never leave
thee nor forsake thee."( Heb 13:5), nor are you poor. You are rich
in faith and an heir of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that
love him (James 2:5) "Perfect love casts out fear." I John 4:18 The
more of His LOVE you let Him give you, the less afraid you will feel. "But
as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he POWER to BECOME the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name" John 1:12 Do not limit the
holy one of Israel as did the Hebrews (Psalm 78:41) because "it is your
father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32
And you have a Bible name -- my Bible says Dinah means
"vindicated." That's a very meaningful name.
Negative thoughts may have you bound right now, past,
present and future. By that I mean your thinking that "I am in this
situation because my husband caused it, and my employer cannot pay me enough
right now, and these things together will keep me from succeeding in the
future" -- and looking at that problem in totality is a weight that smothers
you and makes things seem hopeless. This is where you take the lifeline
who is Christ and let Him bring you hour by hour and day by day out of
that horrible pit, and set your feet upon the rock who is your Savior (Psalm
40:2.) As you receive His love MOMENT BY MOMENT, your perception
of your situation will change, ...... and "behold, I will do a new thing;
now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make
a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert...." You will see how
Father will vindicate you and "restore to you the years that the locust
hath eaten..." Joel 2:25 As you are led, you may take the practical
advice that has been offered with love and concern; but all of our circumstances
are created and recreated from within us and not from without. "...what
things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and
ye shall have them." Mark 11:24
And think what you have to look forward to! You may have
the first dance with your heavenly Groom at the marriage supper of the
Lamb. You may say "who, me?" Yes, YOU. St. Augustine
suggested that "God loves every one of us as if there were but one of us
to love." You know how we spend our lives craving the undivided attention
of someone -- I believe we'll get it there! We are all "first" in
his heart -- if we desire to be. Imagine your favorite waltz music (I like
the Blue Danube) and this wonderful dance soon coming up in heaven. ..."...for
ALL THINGS ARE YOURS; whether Paul, or Apollos, or death, or things present,
or things to come; all are yours; and ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's."
I Corinthians 3:22-3 As they say, Dinah, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER
THAN THIS!
I had a friend who was among several standing around
my so-called death bed once, and he was so zealous for the Lord, and he
was saying to me as I was fading away "what do you see Rachel...what do
you see...do you see Jesus?" I'll never forget it -- how much he
wanted to see his Lord. Some years later I heard that when Vernon
was in his forties, he had gone to his mountain retreat to be alone for
a few days just to meditate, and driving away he put his foot on the accelerator
of his car and collapsed with a heart attack over the wheel, and he was
with His Lord. I thought to myself, now Vernon knows. When
I put my foot on the accelerator and head into those hills, I think, this
could be rapture day, and I could be like Enoch when he went for a walk
with the Lord, and that day the Lord must have said, "Enoch, wouldn't you
like to come on home with me tonight?"
Can you imagine? It thrills me to think of it.
Take care, and know that you have friends on Doves who
are praying for you.
I have you in my heart.
Maranatha,
Rachel
