As is revealed by the Lord in Bible prophecy, Syria will one day soon attack Israel for the last time in these final days. According to verse 8 of Psalm 83, Syria will at that time be restored to its ancient form known as Assyria. This means Syria and Iraq must be confederated.

Although bitter enemies during the Iran and Iraq war, Syria and Iraq began uniting back in 2000 just as prophesied by God for their final assault on God's chosen people.
