CAIRO [MENL] -- Al Qaida-aligned insurgents have targeted tourism in Egypt.Islamic insurgents twice attacked tourists in Cairo in the space of an hour on Saturday afternoon. At least seven people, including an Israeli, were injured and Al Qaida-aligned groups claimed responsibility.
"The explosion was caused by a very primitive bomb full of nails," Health Minister Mohammed Awad Tag Eddin said. "Most of the injuries were superficial caused by the destruction of the nails."
Two Al Qaida-aligned groups claimed responsibility for the attacks. They were the Holy Warriors [Mujahedeen] of Egypt and the Martyr Abdullah Azzam Brigades.
