"defeating evolution"
I teach biology and one of my students brought
up a great point. When presenting evolution(By law I have to at least
present it), the student asked how the first life appeared. I told
here according to the theory, lightning passed through amino acids creating
proteins which eventually made DNA, and so on and after I was done she
observed “well isn’t that the same as spontaneous generation.”
This would mean that the whole base of evolution is based on a theory that
science disproved several hundred years ago. I have proposed this
questions to several scientist but have not received a single response.
Incidentally, the student was one of my special needs students.
