I, too, have given this a lot of thought and prayer. I have four small dogs and a cat. All are rescue animals and some have "issues" that would make them difficult to place. I've prayed about this and have asked the Lord to take them with me in the Rapture. If that is not His plan, then I've asked that they peacefully breath their last breaths as I go in the Rapture.
 
Like you, I'm afraid in the chaos and ruthlessness they would be harmed or starved. I can truly say I now have peace about this. I am the steward of my pets and I truly believe the Lord will honor my request on their behalf.
 
I would be interested in hearing what other Doves have to say. I do believe the Rapture is soon.
