Dear friends:As you probably know by now, Oral Roberts' 88-year-old wife, Evelyn, went to be with the Lord yesterday after a fall in a parking lot the other day.
This morning, a friend who works in Kenneth Copeland's ministry in Texas sent me the following: "The story of Evelyn Roberts' home-going is unusual. There is about a five-minute section of our Wednesday evening service that Kenneth's daughter, Terri ,tells about the events that surrounded this. I would encourage you to watch it. Go to http://www.emic.org/listen.php, scroll down, and select the 5/4/05 Wednesday service and "grab" the shuttle slider and slide it over to 1:57:00 (one-hour, fifty-seven minutes)."
I just listened to it and it is amazing. Terri describes how Evelyn predicted her departure a week in advance, saying, "I'm going to heaven this week and nobody's going to stop me. I don't know how the Lord is going to do it but it's going to be quick." Terri describes how she and Oral would pray with each other every night, kissing each other seven times. She made detailed arrangements for her funeral service.
This will really bless you.
Terri adds that she believes Evelyn's departure is a time marker.
